Table 8. Demand Response Configurable Options (Continued)
Time Duration
1 and 2
•
Time Duration of the on-peak period when the peak shaving is available.
•
This value is entered by the user in minutes.
•
Set this parameter equal to the entire peak period when it is desired to allow peak shaving
over the entire peak period.
•
Discharge timer will continue and could expire when there is an alarm or outage that pauses
the service.
•
Time duration will reset after the Battery Charge Delay time has expired.
Battery Charge
Delay 1 and 2
The time delay before the charging of the batteries after completion of the peak shaving period
until the Time Duration parameter limit or the Minimum Active SOC limit is reached.
•
This value is entered by the user in minutes. If no delay is required, then enter 0.
•
If charging is not allowed during the peak period, then extend this delay to a point in time
after the peak period has ended.
•
If there is an alarm or outage that pauses the service, the battery charge delay timer will still
count if the discharge timer duration has expired.
•
Time Duration and Battery Charge Delay form a type of “duty cycle” during the on-peak
period. After the Time Duration completes, the Battery Charge Delay will begin. Once the
Battery Charge Delay completes, the Time Duration will begin again assuming the current
time is still within the on-peak window and the battery SOC is above Target SOC.

PredictPulse™ Remote Monitoring and Management Service – PredictPulse is a subscription-based monitoring
and management service from Eaton that collects and analyzes data from connected power infrastructure
devices, providing Eaton with the insight needed to make recommendations and take action on the customer’s
behalf. Like a second set of eyes on the status and condition of the power infrastructure, PredictPulse provides
24/7 remote monitoring of alarms and system performance to reduce downtime risk and expedite repairs.
PredictPulse also shares real-time status, health, and trend information via an online dashboard, giving
subscribers insights about past and current performance, a list of all active alarms, and asset management
data. The service notifies customers of critical alarms, supports remote diagnostics, and facilitates the smart
dispatch of technicians.
The PredictPulse Service along with the required connectivity parts may be purchased with Eaton Support

PredictPulse provides proactive monitoring technologies that automatically analyze the status, state, and health
of the xStorage 400 system. Telemetry data gathered from the unit, current and historical, is analyzed at the
Eaton Customer Reliability Center (CRC). Anomalies are escalated to a Software and Monitoring analyst or
Technical Support specialist. Critical events are remotely diagnosed to expedite repairs, including the smart
dispatch of field technicians with probable cause and likely parts (avoiding return visits due to lack of required
parts). Through this service, the CRC can take corrective action to ensure the highest level of availability of your
xStorage 400 system.
PredictPulse communicates using hardware included with the xStorage 400 system and only requires a cellular
network for connectivity.
