6. Web Config Tool
This application can be used to configure any XH-303.
It can be accessed either with the local browser or with a browser installed on a con-
nected device.
The following section is intended for users that have basic net-
working skills.
6.1 Security
The encryption uses a 2048-bit RSA key that is generated automatically on the device
the first time it starts. Please note that the Web Config Tool cannot be used at all
without this encryption.
The automatically generated key is self-signed. Current browsers will flag self-signed
certificates as a potential security issue. However, the option of installing proper cer-
tificates will be added in future OS versions.
Instead, you can check whether the certificate's digital thumbprint has changed so
as to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
