Breaker curve function
Each of the 6 load outputs is continuously monitored and if it is more than 130% of the
configured rating then the breaker curve algorithm is applied as defined on page 117.
Low Voltage Disconnect
Loads can be disconnected at a configurable voltage and reconnected at a different voltage as
defined below.
•
load disconnect voltage
36.00-59.9V in 0.1V steps
•
load reconnect voltage
36.1-60.00V in 0.1V steps
•
load connection delay
10-600s in 1s steps
Remote ON/OFF control
Load outputs can be turned on and off remotely using SNMP commands and also via the Web
pages.
Trip retry function
Each output contains a trip retry function which will allow a number of attempts to turn on the
load output after a trip condition has been detected. The number of retries is configurable.
A fast trip results in a 1ms and then 1s re-try before entering the tripped state if no retries are
available, or the pending state if retries are available.
A Breaker Trip results in only the 1s retry before entering the tripped state if no retries are
available, or the pending state if retries are available.
Battery Functions
General description
Up to 2 battery strings can be connected, each of which has a configurable rating of between
25A and 50A.
Note that string connections should not be connected in parallel.
It is the responsibility of the system designer to ensure that the correct rating is set for each
connected string by consulting the breaker curve specification. The rating should be set so that
the string will not trip under all normal operating conditions but will offer protection under
fault conditions. Furthermore it is critical that the cable connected to each battery string is
matched to the chosen rating.
Each battery string has an on/off switch with LED indicator. The LED is ON when the string is
ON. The led also has 2 flashing states:
♦
The LED will flash slowly (1Hz) when a string is commanded ON but held off due to
various operating conditions – this is referred to as the ‘pending’ state.
♦
The LED will flash rapidly (4Hz) when the string has tripped due to an over current or
short circuit condition.
