4.3 Extended functionality
This extended functionality is only available on DS7-340… and DS7-342…
models.
Scope of extended functionality
•
Relay 23 can be reprogrammed from RUN to READY.
•
An input-side check of the phase sequence can be enabled.
Setting the potentiometers
To activate the extended functionality, set the potentiometers as follows:
•
t-Start
: Max: 30 s
•
U-Start
: Max: 100 %
•
t-Stop
: About 65 % (do not select the maximum or the minimum value)
If the potentiometers are set to settings other than the ones shown above,
the DS7 soft starter will keep its configuration, i.e., the relay function and
phase sequence detection function will keep behaving the same way as the
last time before the device was switched off.
Configure
When the control section’s power supply is activated, there will be a two-
second configuration period, provided that the potentiometers have been set
to the correct settings. During this configuration period, the green LED and
the red LED will show a solid light. If no adjustments are made during these
two seconds, the DS7 soft starter will keep its previous configuration.
Changing the relay functionality from RUN to READY and vice versa
▶
Change the value for
t-Start
from Max to Min and then back from Min to
Max within the configuration period (2 seconds).
•
After this, the
green
LED will flash for 1 second with a frequency of
8 Hz if the
RUN
functionality has been activated (default).
•
On the other hand, the
red
LED will flash for 1 second with a
frequency of 8 Hz if the
READY
functionality has been activated
instead (Extended).
Enabling/disabling the phase sequence check
▶
Change the value for
U-Start
from Max to Min and then back from Min
to Max within the configuration period (2 seconds).
•
After this, the
green
LED will flash for 1 second with a frequency of
8 Hz if the phase sequence error detection function has been
disabled (default).
•
On the other hand, the
red
LED will flash for 1 second with a
frequency of 8 Hz if the phase sequence error detection function
has been enabled instead (Extended).
