INSTRUCTION
Important safety information
This appliance is only suitable for outdoor use.
Electricul Safety
This floodlight must be earthed. Users are urged to follow the instructions below. Take care that the wires in
the terminals are firmly secured and check that the power supply lid is well clamped in the cable gland. Never
connect the yellow/green wire to terminals not marked with the earth symbol. Connect all electrical connec-
tions and wiring properly. Any faults discovered must be corrected immediately before the floodlight is used.
Electrical connections and wiring must always be carried out by qualified staff. During use make sure that all
electrical wiring is well away from sharp tools or other objects or any other hazard, including wet floors, che-
micals, solvents, etc. Check that the floodlight is in a safe place with its support stable and on a firm surface.
The light cannot be directed pointing downwards. If the glass in the unit breaks, replace it immediately, and
use only original spare parts.
N.B.: Always make sure that the mains voltage is the same as the rated voltage of the floodlight. The
floodlight’s power supply socket must be protected by a fuse.
WARNING:
The floodlight becomes very hot during operation; after switching off, wait for it to
cool to ambient temperature. Make sure that the floodlight is placed at a safe distance
from any inflammable material and/or surface and there is sufficient ventilation to
ensure heat dispersal.
Assembly instructions
Fit the base into the support (G) so that the holes in the two are aligned. Tighten the fixing screw (D). To
change the floodlight’s direction, simply undo the fixing screw (D) and tilt the floodlight into the position
required. Then retighten the screw (D).
Fitting the lamp
Disconnect the power supply before fitting or replacing the halogen lamp. To fit the lamp supplied, undo the
screw (B) and open the front cover. The lamp is fitted by means of sprung fixtures at each end. Fit the lamp
into the support carefully, ensuring that contact is made at both ends. Take care not to touch the lamp with
bare hands; if this occurs, clean the lamp with alcohol. Close the front cover and retighten the retainer screw
(B). DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN AS THIS MAY DAMAGE THE GLASS.
