The waterproof camcorder body
Aquapix WDV5630 is waterproof and dustproof in
accordance with the following standards:
Waterproof:
Equivalent to IEC Standard publication 529
IPX8 and IPX6 (1 hour at depths up to 5 m)
Dustproof:
Equivalent to IEC Standard publication 529 IP6X.
Fogging of the lens
Camcorders featuring waterproof specifications are airtight.
When the temperature rises during use, condensation can
occur inside the lens due to the internal humidity.
To minimise this effect please consider the following
measures:
•
Avoid frequent exposure to direct sunlight.
•
Long hours of handheld use may cause the unit
temperature to rise. Consider using a tripod where
possible.
•
Charge the unit in a low humidity environment.
When fogging occurs inside the lens, close the monitor,
open the battery compartment and remove the battery.
Leave the camera for a short period of time until the
fogging reduces.
