Pull the safety bail up towards the handle grip and hold it securely with your left hand.

Pull the starter handle lightly until you feel resistance, and then pull it sharply
.

Push the throttle control out of choke position after engine starts and into run position. (Fig.

For the best performance, leave the throttle control in run position while operating the
mower.
Stopping the Engine
1.
Move the throttle control to slow position ( ) and release the safety bail control to shut
off the engine.
2.
Disconnect the wire from the spark plug if you do not use the lawn mower or if you leave it
unattended.
3.
Shut the fuel valve.
Adjusting the Cutting Height
Each wheel is adjusted individually with a wheel height adjustment lever. Cutting heights are
adjusted from approximately ¾” to 3 1/2” (1.9 cm – 8.9 cm)
1.
Stop the engine and wait for the blade to stop before adjusting the cutting height.
2.
Do not put your fingers under the housing when adjusting the cutting height.
4.
Pull the wheel height adjustment lever up and move the lever to a desired setting. (Fig 9)
