TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
If any of the following problems occur during use of your head lice comb,
please refer to this troubleshooting guide.

4. The humming sound stops briefly each time a louse is destroyed. If the
hum does not resume after 5 seconds, use the small cleaning brush
supplied with your unit, in order to eliminate any lice caught in the teeth of
the comb.
During brushing, short-circuits due to contact between adjacent teeth can
also lead to a silencing of the unit.
5. Take the time to comb the hair in depth. Make sure that all the lice have
been destroyed, and that the nits have been correctly released and
removed.
6. You can use the comb as often as necessary in any given day.
SERVICING THE UNIT
Be sure to clean your head lice comb after every use.
Never use the unit on another member of the family without first having
disinfected the head lice comb.
• Press the On/Off switch of the unit in order to switch it off. To be extra
careful, you can also remove the battery.
• Clean the unit by gently disinfecting the surface of the unit and the teeth of
the comb, using a tissue soaked in ethyl alcohol (a 70% solution).
• The teeth of the comb represent a fragile part of the unit. Take care not to
damage them, as this can lead to short circuiting of your unit
• Wait until the unit is totally dry before using it again.
Be sure to replace the cover of the unit at the end of use or after cleaning, so
as to protect the teeth of the comb.
• Open the battery cover.
• Insert the supplied AAA battery, taking care to observe the correct polarity.
A polarity error can damage your unit and compromise the guarantee.
Never insert rechargeable batteries. Employ only single-use batteries. Do
not mix new batteries with used batteries.
• Replace the lid.
Do not dispose of your used batteries with your household
waste. Take your used batteries to a collection centre.
Where the unit is not to be used for some time, be sure to
remove the batteries from the unit in order to prevent the
leakage of liquids that could damage the unit.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EFFECTIVE USE
The
omb must be used on dry hair.
Make sure that the unit is not damp or wet during use.
It is recommended that you use a repellent treatment (cream, shampoo, etc.)
after use of the unit, so as to prevent any fresh infection.

working and ready for use.

7. In order to prevent a return of the lice, it is recommended that you apply a
repellent after using the head lice comb, especially if the child is mixing
with others.
8.In confirmed periods of infection, frequent use of the unit is recommended,
preferably at night before bedtime.

3. Move the comb slowly through the hair,
preferably lock by lock, for a more effective
result. The direction of the brushing can from
the bottom up or vice versa, taking care to
maintain the 45 angle.
2. Hold the comb at an angle of 45p. The black bulbs
located at the ends of the teeth (see diagram
opposite) must be positioned facing the scalp. The
lice are generally to be found in the warmer areas
of the head, such as near the neck and below a
ponytail.
