Installation
1. Do not connect to power before
installation is complete.
2. Identify a mounting location to ensure
the unit is DOWNSTREAM of any coils or
filters and not at risk of moisture from any
in-line humidifiers.
3. The included sheet metal screws or
mounting magnets should be used to
mount the D5i-M, inside the fan box or in
ductwork ensuring that air flows over the
two recessed needlepoint electrodes
simultaneously.
4. For best results, place unit in a location
where needlepoints will be exposed to
maximum airflow. If magnetically mounting
directly on the fan housing, place D5i-M Unit
in the ‘12 o’clock position’ above fan inlet.
CAUTION: Unit should only be installed by a licensed HVAC professional.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire, this unit should not be installed downstream of a
humidifier or exposed to other sources of moisture.
CAUTION: This product is suitable for mounting into duct of metallic construction only.
Installation must be such that the structural integrity of the ducting is not compromised.
