Q: How many total sound programs are there in the keyboard?
A:
More than 192 presets.
Q: Can the sounds/samples be edited or modified? (Bank 7 only)
A:
All the programs in the E-MU Keys bank (bank 7) can be edited and saved. The General MIDI programs
cannot be edited.
Q: Can the Reverb and/or Chorus effects be edited?
A:
Yes, the chorus and reverb setting can be edited and saved on the E-MU Keys programs.
Q: Are these the same sounds from E-MU MIDI modules or ESC?
A:
Some of the classic keyboard samples were selected from the ESC library, but the presets were custom
voiced for LONGboard and SHORTboard. Other samples are completely new.
Q: How many velocity curves does the keyboard have?
A:
Eight.
Q: Can I connect a MIDI controller to the keyboard MIDI In port?
A:
Of course!
Q: Can I use a MIDI sequencer to play back 16-MIDI channels, and at the same time, play the
keyboard with a different sound?
A:
Yes. The keyboard plays from its own MIDI channels.
Q: What receiving devices can be used with the built-in transmitter?
A:
The built-in transmitter works only with the E-MU PIPEline.
Q: Is the keyboard XP, Vista and Windows 7 compatible?
A:
Yes.
Q: Does the keyboard require installing any drivers?
A:
No.
Q: Is the keyboard split feature per MIDI channel, per program or global for the entire key-
board?
A:
There are 2 zones, upper & lower. Each zone can transmit on any MIDI channel.
Q: Does it come with a power supply?
A:
Yes. The keyboard can operate via the included power supply, USB, or using (6) D-cells.
Q: What is the warranty?
A:
1 year, limited.
