REMOVE THE DYNOWARE EX ELECTRONICS
Use the following instructions to remove the DynoWare EX electronics and wiring.
Note:
If your 4WD dyno is equipped with only one eddy current brake, follow the
steps below for the dyno without an eddy current brake. Refer to “Remove the
DynoWare EX Electronics” on page 3-5 for the dyno with an eddy current brake.
Refer to Figure 3-20 on page 3-25 for routing the cables with one eddy current
brake.

Using the dyno movement pendant, bring the dyno in to it’s shortest wheelbase
position.

Remove the two 3/8-16 x 3-inch bolts and seven 3/8-16 x 1/2-inch bolts securing
the left forward pit cover and set aside.

Remove the left forward pit cover and set aside.

Remove the two 1/4 x 5/8-inch torx head bolts and two 3/8 x 1.5-inch flange bolts
securing the 4WD bridge cover and set aside.

Remove the 4WD bridge cover and set aside.

Remove the center bolt securing the stationary bridge cover and set aside.

Remove the two 3/8-16 x 1/2-inch button-head flange bolts securing the
stationary bridge cover to each runner support pillar and set aside.

Remove the stationary bridge cover and set aside.

Remove the 3/8 x 1.5-inch flange bolt from each runner mount. Loosen the other
runner mount bolts (this allows you to remove the drum guard).
10 Remove the 3/8-16 x 1.25-inch button-head bolt securing the left drum guard on
the stationary dyno. Slide the drum guard out from under the runner mount and
set aside.
11 Remove the 1/4 x 5/8-inch torx bolt from the runner tie strap.
12 Remove the 3/8 x 5-inch bolt and 3/8-nut securing the runner assembly to the
runner mount on the 4WD dyno.
13 Slide the runner assembly towards the stationary dyno and out from under the
runner mount. This will make room for you to remove the runner extension.
14 Remove the two 1/4-20 torx screws securing the runner extension to the runner
assembly. Remove the two 1/4 x 1.5-inch bolts and two 1/4-20 nuts securing the
runner extension to the support leg.
15 Remove the 3/8 x 1.25-inch button-head bolt securing the left drum guard on the
4WD dyno. Slide the drum guard out from under the runner mount and set aside.
16 Continue with “Removing the Pickup Card, Bracket, and Cable” on page 2-6.
