The Measuring Head should be located a
minimum distance of 2a from a 90° bend in the
bus.

General Guidelines for Locating Measuring Heads
The Measuring Head should be a minimum
distance of 2a from another bus carrying equal
or less current. If the other bus carries higher
current, the distance should be greater, e.g., 3a.
If the Measuring Head is to be installed on a U-
section of the bus, the distance between the
parallel bus sections must be a minimum of 4a,
and the Measuring Head should be centered
between them.
If the Measuring Head is to be installed on
a T- section of the bus, it should be
located a minimum distance of 4a from the
joining point.
