3. Using the STEP key make sure that the CHAN LED is lit and press SELECT to enter
the channel learn-in mode, 1 will be shown on the display
•
Pressing the STEP key will step through the available channels
•
Channels 1 and 2 will only be accessible on the standard unit, channels 1 to 8 will be available
when fitted with the D4221 expander
4. Press SELECT to choose channel 1, channel position A will be shown
•
Channel positions A to G can be stepped through using the STEP key
5. Press SELECT to choose A, the display will now flash an alternate 1 and A indicating
Channel 1, Position A
6. Press the learn button on the device to be learnt in
•
The unit will give a double beep and the decimal point will light indicating that the channel
position is occupied
•
If the same transmitter is learnt-in to two different channel positions, two sets of double beeps
will be heard, warning the user that the same device is in two channels
7. Press the CLEAR key 3 times to quit the channel position programming, the display
will be blank and the CHAN and PROG LED will be lit
8. Using the STEP key, choose the RELAY LED and press SELECT, 1 will be displayed,
press select again and 1 and A will alternatively flash

When the relay number is displayed, the channel numbers 1 to 8 (if available) can be stepped
through using the STEP key
•
A indicates the 2 second pulsed relay option
9. Press SELECT to choose A and the unit will double beep, the unit will alternatively
flash 1 and A with the decimal point indicating that relay option 1 (pulsed) has been
chosen for channel 1
•
When in this mode, options A to I can be stepped through using the STEP key
10. Press the CLEAR key repeatedly to quit programming mode - when the unit quits, the
programming LED will extinguish and the display decimal point will light
11. The unit is now programmed with a device in channel 1, position A, with pulsed relay
operation
3.4.1
To Erase a Device
Occasionally, it will be necessary to remove a radio device from the system. The procedure below
describes how it is done:
1. Enter programming mode and step to the CHAN LED using the STEP key
2. Using the STEP and SELECT keys to choose the device to be erased, press the
CLEAR key until beeps are heard and the decimal point is extinguished (~2 secs)

The channel position to be cleared will be displayed as an alternatively flashing channel number
and position i.e. 2C, 2C etc...
3. The device is now erased and the unoccupied position is indicated by an alternatively
flashing channel position display with an extinguished decimal point
