1.4 Target group of this document
This installation and operating manual is intended for different target groups. Unless specified
otherwise, the contents apply to all target groups. Where indicated, only the specified target
group is permitted to perform the tasks listed.
Define clear guidelines for staff responsibilities for operation, set-up, maintenance and repair
work.
Commissioning and maintenance must be performed only by authorised and qualified special-
ist personnel.
Only personnel trained by BWT are permitted to operate the device.
The following target groups are mentioned in this document:

Operator:
The operator is responsible for defining responsibilities and duties and for train-
ing personnel. The operator must make the operating instructions available to operating
personnel and ensure that these personnel have read and understood them. The operator
also ensures that the product is used only as intended and ensures compliance with the ap-
plicable regulations.
•
Trained staff members/operating personnel:
Trained personnel are personnel who have
been briefed and where necessary instructed on the tasks assigned to them and the poten-
tial dangers in the event of improper conduct, and have been trained with regard to the
safety devices, personal protective equipment and safety measures required.
•
Specialist personnel:
Specialist personnel are personnel who are able to assess the work
assigned to them and identify the potential dangers based on their specialist training,
knowledge and experiences and their knowledge of the applicable regulations. Multiple
years of activity in the field of work in question can also be used for the assessment of their
specialist training.
1.5 Warranty and disclaimer
All of the information and instructions contained in this installation and operating manual were
compiled taking the applicable standards and regulations, the latest standards of technology
and the many years of knowledge and experience of BWT into account.
The warranty becomes void:

If instructions in this installation and operating manual are not followed
•
If the device is not used for its intended purpose
•
If the device is not installed properly or correctly
•
If the device is not put into operation, operated or maintained as intended
•
If components that have not been approved or parts other than original parts are used
•
If the stipulated servicing and part replacement work is not performed
•
If damage, malfunctions or stoppages occur that are caused by unauthorized technical
modifications
