7.10 Concentrate regulation (BWT PERMAQ
®
Pico FT, Pico Duo
FT and Pico Vario only)
Concentrate regulation applies only to devices with integrated flowmeters for the feed water
and permeate. In the
Production
step, all the current volume flow rates and the WCF are
shown on the display.
OPERATION
Prod. COND1: 7.5 µS/cm

WCF: 75%

C: 262 l/h
P: 782 l/h

The concentrate flow rate should be adjusted according to the efficiency of the permeate
yield (WCF) as per the
49].
If concentrate rejection is set too low over a longer period of time (if the WCF limiting value is
too high), this may result in a significant drop in output and quality and even device failure.
These settings should be configured only by qualified specialist personnel.
Adjusting the concentrate flow (not for BWT PERMAQ
®
Pico Vario)
The concentrate flow control valve is located on the rear of the device.
ü
The adjustable valve must not be completely closed off.
ü
We recommend that you do not increase the preset WCF (or max. threshold value of 80%).
1) Turn the adjustment valve wheel to the left to increase the concentrate quantity and re-
duce the permeate yield (WCF).
2) Turn the adjustment valve wheel to the right to reduce the concentrate quantity and in-
crease the permeate yield (WCF).
