6.13 REPLACEMENT OF THE STEERING CHAIN
-
The exchange is necessary when the chain extension is too big and it cannot be adjusted any more (the first
occurrence of this can be fixed by removing one chain-link)
Exchange steps:
-
Lift the mower so that the wheels must be off the ground and can turn freely
-
Turn the wheels until the connecting link is between the electric motor and left wheel

Fig. 81
-
Release the chain tension as much as possible (Fig. 82).
-
Disconnect the chain and connect the free chain section (the left one) to the new chain with a connecting
link (roller chain 084-1 * MOFA 1/2“ x 3/16“)

Fig. 83
-
Turn the driving wheels to replace the old chain with a new one (this way the wheel geometry is not
impaired too much)
-
Disconnect the chains and connect the new one (!!! Lock the clip up !!!)
-
Check the position of the chain in the pulleys
-
Tension the chain (the chain slack on side of the steering electric motor should be
20 mm) by rotating the
servomotor and tightening the set bolt and the bolt M10 (Fig. 82)

-
Lubricate the chain with a chain lubrication spray Interflon FIN LUBE TFsee
