In addition to the knowledge of the various spe-

cialist fields, the mechanic has knowledge of the

following specialist fields

Painting process
High voltage engineering for electrostatic

coating

Dürr Systems offers special product training for

Ä

 “Hotline and Contact”.

2.6

Personal protective equipment

When working in explosive areas, the protective

clothing, including gloves, must meet the require-

ments of DIN EN 1149-5. Footwear must meet the

requirements of EN ISO 20344 and EN IEC

61340-4-3. The volume resistivity must not exceed

100M

Ω

.

Wear the specified personal protective equipment

when working. Provide the following personal pro-

tective equipment:

Anti-Static Safety Boots

Protect feet from crushing, falling items

and slipping on slippery ground.
Moreover, anti-static safety boots reduce

electrostatic charge by discharging the

electrostatic charges. Safety boots must

comply with the requirements of

EN 61340-5-1. The measured volume

resistivity must not exceed 100M

Ω

.

Eye protection

Protects eyes from dust, paint drops and

particles.

Protective gloves

Protect the hands from:

mechanical forces
Thermal forces
Chemical effects

Protective workwear

Tight fitting workwear with low tear

strength, tight sleeves and no hanging

parts.

Respirator mask

Protects from hazardous gases, vapors,

dust and similar materials and media.

Transport, scope of supply and

storage

3.1

Transport

Requirements:

Hoses are cleaned

Ä

 5.3 “Cleaning”.

Hoses are disassembled

Ä

 7.3 “Disassembly”.

1. Hose ends worn out.

2. Roll up hoses for transporting. Respect the

bend radius

Ä

 8.1 “Dimensions”.

3.2

Scope of delivery

Convoluted hose
Preassembled support bracket
Material hose.
Compressed air hoses
Petroleum jelly 40 g

Inspect delivery on receipt for completeness

and integrity.
Report defects immediately.

Ä

 “Hotline and

Contact”

Complete parts list in the electronic system docu-

mentation

Ä

 “Applicable documents”.

3.3

Unpacking

 DANGER!

Danger of explosion from electrostatic
charges on plastic film and foils

The foil can discharge at the time of unpacking.

Discharge can cause explosion in explosive

areas. Serious injury and death could be the con-

sequence.
– Unpack product outside Ex zones.

1. Unpack components.

2. Dispose of packing material.

3. Remove Velcro tapes on the rolled up convo-

luted hoses.

ð

Do not throw away. Velcro tapes are still
needed.
