POWER

The Billy Duffy Cry Baby Wah can 

be powered by one 9-volt battery 
(accessed via the bottom of the pedal), 
a 9-volt AC adapter such as the Dunlop 
ECB003/ECB003EU, or the DC Brick

 

and Iso-Brick

 power supplies.

CONTROL DIAGRAMS

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

• Run an instrument cable from your 

guitar to the BD95’s INSTRUMENT 

jack and another instrument cable from 
the BD95’s AMPLIFIER jack to your 
amplifier’s input.

• To engage the effect, simply push the 

toe of the pedal down with your foot. 

To disengage, remove your foot from 

the pedal.

• Use MODE kickswitch to toggle between 

95Q mode, indicated by blue LEDs on 
either side of pedal, and Vintage mode, 
indicated by red LEDs.

• Rotate internal AUTO-RETURN DELAY 

control clockwise to increase length of 
effect ring out or counterclockwise to 
decrease it.

• Rotate the VOLUME control clockwise to 

increase volume of effect in 95Q mode 
or counterclockwise to decrease it. 
Note: This control is inactive in 
Vintage mode.

• Rotate the Q control clockwise to 

narrow 95Q mode’s bandpass and 
emphasize higher end harmonics or 
counterclockwise for a wider bandpass 
that emphasizes lower end harmonics. 
Note: This control is inactive in 
Vintage mode.

• Rotate internal BLUE trimpot clockwise 

for a brighter toe-down response or 
counterclockwise for a warmer toe-down 
response. Note: This control is inactive 
in Vintage mode.

• Rotate internal RED trimpot clockwise 

for a brighter toe-down response or 
counterclockwise for a warmer toe-down 
response. Note: This control is inactive 
in 95Q mode.

• Rock your foot back and forth on the 

pedal to hear the vocal, expressive tones 
that the Cry Baby Wah is famous for. 

CONTROLS

Vintage mode (indicated by red LEDs)

2. VOLUME control sets 95Q mode’s 

output level

3. Q control adjusts width of 95Q 

mode’s bandpass

4. AUTO-RETURN DELAY control 

(internal) sets how long effect rings 
out after being disengaged

5. BLUE trimpot (internal) sets toe-down 

range of 95Q mode

6. RED trimpot (internal) sets toe-down 

range of Vintage mode
