Replacing the high and low beam bulbs
Before replacing a burnt out light bulb, ensure that
the replacement bulb has the same voltage and
power rating as specified on page 134 under
“Electrical system“. Always ensure that the new
bulb you have installed operates properly before
refitting any parts you have removed.
Shown in fig. 77 are the locations of the low beam
bulb (LO), high beam bulb (HI) and parking light
bulb (1).
Headlight
To gain access to the left-hand bulb, remove the
cover (2) by pressing the lever (A).
Rotate the locking ring nut (3) of the upper bulb body
anti- clockwise and extract the burnt-out bulb.
Replace with a bulb of equal rating.
On refitting, rotate the locking ring nut (3) clockwise
to secure the bulb in place.
The right-hand bulb is replaced in the same way.
