BEFORE FIRST USE
When you turn the blender on for the first
time, a “new” smell may be given off, this
will dissipate after a few uses.
Clean all parts in contact with food before
using for the first time.

INSTRUCTIONS ON ENVIRONMENT
PROTECTION
D
o not dispose this product in the
usual household garbage at the end
of its life cycle. Please hand it over
to a collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic
appliances. The symbol on the product, the
instruction of use or the packaging will
inform you about the methods of disposal.
The materials are recyclable as mentioned
on its marking. By recycling, material
recycling or other forms of re-utilization of
old appliances you are making an important
contribution to protect our environment.
Please enquire at the community
administration for the authorised disposal
location.

E
nsure that the processor, the toolbox,
blades, discs and all accessories are always
kept in a safe location.
•
W
hen moving the processor, use both
hands and lift holding the base unit. Never
lift the processor using the bowl handle.
•
D
o not misuse the processor; it is
designed for use with food items only.
•
D
o not add boiling liquids or foods to
the bowls. Always cool liquids or food
items to below 60°C before adding to
the bowls.
•
B
owls and attachments are not suitable
for microwave use.
•
D
o not overfill the bowls; ingredients
need room to move around. Use the
maximum loading chart on page 21 for
reference.

T
urn the power off via the control knob
and unplug before opening the lid.
•
S
witch off the appliance and disconnect
from supply before changing accessories
or approaching moving parts while in use.

ever remove the bowl or lid until the
blades or discs have come to a complete
stop.

D
o not submerge the motor housing,
cord or plug in water or any other liquids.
•
C
lean all parts after each use; please
refer to the cleaning instructions on page
18.

I
f your ingredients include raw meat,
make sure the bowls and attachments are
cleaned thoroughly, immediately after use.
•
W
hen using a dishwasher, always set it
to the lowest setting (max 40ºC) and
keep bowls and accessories well away
from the heating elements. Avoid the
drying cycle.
•
N
ever use the plug without the fuse
cover fitted. Ensure replacement fuse is
the same current value as the original.
Replacement fuses are available and
should be ASTA approved to BS1362.
•
D
o not operate the appliance with a
damaged cord or plug or after appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped o r damaged
in any manner. Return appliance to the
nearest Authorized Service Centre for
examination, repair or ele ctrical or
mechanical adjustment.

T
o protect against risk of electrical shock,
do not submerge the motor housing,
cord or plug in water or any other liquids.
•
D
o not let cord hang over edge of table
or counter.
•
M
ake sure the cord or plug isn’t in
contact with anything hot or wet.
•
T
his appliance features an overheat
cut-out that cuts the power if it becomes
too hot for any reason. If this occurs turn
the control knob to the OFF position.
Once it cools down, the safety cut-out
will automatically reset itself within one
hour and the power will be restored.

eneral safety

his appliance should only be operated
in a dry well ventilated area.

ever tamper with the safety systems.
They are included for your personal
safety.
•

o not operate the appliance empty.
•
F
or safety reasons keep hands and
utensils out of bowl while processing to
reduce the risk of severe injury to persons
or damage to the appliance. A spatula
may be used but must be used only when
the appliance is not running and the bowl
is detached from the base.
•
T
he blades and discs are extremely
sharp; take extra care when handling these
parts, especially when removing from the
bowl, emptying the bowl and during
cleaning. Avoid touching the sharp edges.
•
A
void contact with moving parts, never
reach into the bowl with your fingers or
an object (e.g. a spatula) while the
appliance is running.
•
E
nsure the bowl(s), accessory(s), lid and
food pusher are all securely in place
before turning the processor on. It will
not work without the large bowl and lid
in place and locked.
•
O
nly use the food pusher supplied to
insert and push ingredients down the
feeder tube. Never use your fingers or
utensils; this could cause severe injury and
also damage the appliance.
•
T
he use of attachments not
recommended or sold by Dualit may
cause fire, electric shock or injury to the
user or the appliance.
•
U
se the spatula only when the unit is
turned off, the blade or discs are
removed and the processor is unplugged.
•
B
e certain the bowl is firmly located on
the base and the lid and blade/disc
assembly are correctly in position before
operating appliance.
•
I
f the blade is jammed, switch off and
unplug the appliance before removing the
lid.
•
A
lways operate appliance with lid in
place, spillage may occur if the lid is
damaged or incorrectly fitted.
•
C
aution, after extended periods of use
the metal drive coupling on the blade
assembly may become hot.
•
D
o not use the processor on a sloping
surface.
