5.3 TCP/IP Configuration for Windows XP
Use the following steps to configure the manager PC to be a DHCP client. These
same steps must be performed for every host PC on your network if you use the
DHCP function of the Router.
1. Click the
Start
button and choose
Settings
and then
Control Panel
.
2. Double click the
Network
Connections
icon.
3. Right-click on your network connection and select
Properties
from the drop
down menu. On the
General
tab, select the
TCP/IP
line and click
Properties
.
4. You have two setting methods:
A. Get an IP address from the Router (DHCP) – Make sure that you have the
same settings as shown in the following 2 screens.
