Important notes

The product is intended to decorate and light garden paths,
garden beds, lawns and driveways.

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for
commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other
use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or at-
tempts at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also
applies to normal wear and tear.
❐
Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging materi-
al away from children and pets.
❐
Children must be under supervision to ensure that they do not
play with the product. They could injure themselves with the
tip of the ground spike, among other things.
❐
Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the
storage battery prior to disposal of the solar light). Only have
the product repaired by a quali
fi
ed workshop or by customer
service.
❐
If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid
does not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous
membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the af-
fected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek
immediate medical attention.
❐
Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in
fi
re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.
❐
Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions. The glass is breakable.
❐
Do not use the product if it exhibits damages.
❐
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is
only splash-proof.
❐
In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail)
or if you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged
period of time, turn it off and store the product in a dry place.
❐
Ensure that the solar
fi
eld is always clean in order to ensure
the greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean the
light occasionally with a damp cloth.
Do not use corrosive
or abrasive cleaning products to clean the product!
They
could damage the surface.

Installation site
Set the product up in a place where it is exposed to direct
sunlight the entire day if possible (at least 6 hours – ideally, in
open areas, not underneath trees etc.). However, do not place
the light near arti
fi
cial light sources (e. g. street lamps) as the
sensor may react to the arti
fi
cial light and this may affect the
luminance.
Start-up
1.
Unpack the product contents and
remove all protective wrappers
and stickers, if present. Check
all parts for possible transport
damages. Should you identify
any transport damages, please
promptly consult customer ser-
vice.
2. Put the upper and lower part of the
shaft together using the connect-
ing piece.
3. Push the ground spike into the
shaft.
4. Push the second connecting
piece into the shaft and into the
socket of the lamp shade.
5. Hold the solar light
fi
rmly by the socket and remove the lamp
shade by twisting it.
6. Move the On / Off switch to
the
ON
position.
7. Screw the lamp shade
back into the socket.
8. Push the ground spike into
the ground. The shaft must
be vertical and securely
anchored in the soil.
The battery will be charged in the daytime via the solar panel. To
charge fully, the battery needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.
If the On / Off switch is in the
ON
position, the solar light will au-
tomatically switch on when darkness falls, and off again when it
becomes light.
If you plan not to use the solar light for a substantial time, or wish
to switch it off manually, move the On / Off switch to the
OFF
position.
Disposal
The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and
make it available for the recyclable material collection-ser-
vice.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-
ner. The product does not belong in the household gar-
bage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical
and electronic appliances. For more information, please
contact the administration in your community.
Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-
posed of separately before disposing of the product. To
protect the environment, batteries and storage batteries
may not be disposed of together with normal household
waste. Instead they must be turned in at collection points.
Be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on battery
disposal.
Removing the storage battery
1. Remove the lamp shade.
2. Remove the cross-head screws.
3. Remove the solar panel. You will
fi
nd the battery on the back
of the solar panel.
4. Now remove the battery and dispose of it in an environmen-
tally-friendly manner.
