Intended Use
• This article is intended to be used exclusively for decorative
purposes and is
NOT
a toy! Keep the article out of the reach of
children and animals.
• Only suitable for use indoors!
• The article is designed for personal use only and is not inten-
ded for commercial applications.
• Use the article only for the speci

ed purpose and as described
in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised att-
empts to repair. The same applies for normal wear.
Safety Instructions
• Batteries may be life threatening if swallowed. Therefore keep
the batteries and product out of the reach of children and ani-
mals. If a battery has been swallowed, you must seek immedi-
ate medical attention.
• Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from
children and animals.
• Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in
the battery compartment and on the batteries are clean and, if
necessary, clean them.
• Use only the battery type speci
fi
ed in the technical data.
• Always replace all batteries. Do not use different battery types,
brands or batteries of different capacitances. When changing
batteries ensure correct polarity (+/-).
• Remove the batteries from the battery compartment if they are
empty or if you are not using the product. This way, you can
avoid damages attributed to a leak.
• If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes
and mucous membranes and the battery acid. In the event of
contact with the battery acid, rinse the affected areas instantly
with plenty of clean water and immediately consult a physician.
• Immediately remove a leaking battery from the battery com-
partment. Clean the contacts before you insert a new battery.
• Batteries may not be charged or reactivated with other means
and they may not be disassembled, thrown in a
fi
re, submer-
ged in a liquid or short-circuited.
• Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperature or moisture.
• Maintain adequate distance to candles,
fi
replaces, stovetops
or other
fi
re and heat sources.
• Ensure that the article cannot fall into water.
• If the article is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself.
In the event of damage, contact the customer service depart-
ment.
• When needed, wipe the article off with a dust cloth.
• Store the article in an area that is out of the reach of children
and pets and that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Product contents
• 1 wooden christmas tree with 10 LED light chain
NOTE:
You need 2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AA type.
Putting into Operation
1. Unpack the product. Check that the product contents are
complete and that they do not exhibit any transport damages.
Should you identify any transport damages, do not use the pro-
duct (!), instead please promptly consult the customer service.
Hold onto the packaging to store the product when not in use.
2. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the article:
Press the catch toward the battery compartment cover and re-
move the cover.
3. Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AA type. Pay attention to the
correct polarity (+/–).
4. Fit the battery compartment cover again and press it down until
it engages audibly.
5. Push the switch on the bottom of the article to the
ON
position
to switch it on.
6. Push the switch on the bottom of the article to the
OFF
position
to switch it off.
7. Place the christmas tree on a level, dry surface that is not ex-
posed to sunlight.
If the performance of the article diminishes, the batteries should
be replaced.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and
make it available to the collection service for recyclable
materials.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly
manner. The product does not belong in the household
garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old
electric and electrical equipment. For more information,
please contact the administration in your community.
Batteries must be removed and disposed of separately
before disposing of the product. To protect the
environment, batteries and rechargeable batteries may
not be disposed of together with normal household
waste. Instead they must be turned in at appropriate
collection points. Please also observe applicable
statutory provisions regulating the disposal of batteries.
