3.5.3 Task
Pressing
Task
enables pre-determined functions:
The display shows the task screen, see illustration above.
When selected, e.g. Basic, the screen changes to show the selected task.
To measure pressure in the task proceed as follows:
1. Select the required units of pressure measurement from the measure setup menu.
Note:
In the Airfield Task Q codes can be used. These units are standardized three letter
codes and are available in aeronautical units (feet and metres). Refer to Table

Q Code Description
QFE
Atmospheric pressure at sea level, corrected for temperature and
adjusted to airfield elevation. When set on the altimeter it reads
height.
QNE
Atmospheric pressure at Sea level in International Standard
Atmosphere (ISA) 1013.25
mbar.
QFF
Barometric pressure at a place, reduced to Mean Sea Level (MSL)
using the actual temperature at time of observation as mean
temperature.
QNH
Atmospheric pressure at Mean Sea Level (MSL) (may be local,
measured pressure or a Regional Forecast Pressure (RFP). When
set on altimeter it reads altitude.
Selecting a task exits the menu and
changes the display to the task selected.
