Introduction
The D-Q-SiT GEL hybrid seat cushion was specially de-
veloped for decubitus prophylaxis and to support the-
rapy and is suitable for patients up to 120 kg. The seat
cushion consists of a viscoelastic upper layer, a silicone
gel plate, a PU foam base layer, and the special D-Q-SiT
protect cover for the best possible pressure distribution
and shear force reduction while sitting.
We expressly ask you to read through the instructions
for use carefully so that you obtain the desired medical
effect with our product.
Indication | contraindication
INDICATION:
• Decubitus prophylaxis and support of decubitus the-
rapy up to and including category 2.
• Support for decubitus therapy of categories 1-4 in the
case of persons who can regularly change their seated
position independently or with assistance.
• For persons who must sit over the long term due to ill-
ness or disability.
• To support follow-up treatment for a decubitus which
has already healed.
CONTRAINDICATION:
•
In the event of an existing foam allergy.
Note
The use of the D-Q-SiT Duo seat cushion as therapeu-
tic support in category 1-4 must always be individually
evaluated, assessed and decided on by trained profes-
sionals or the attending physician.

Safety instructions
• The user (caregiver) must have expert knowledge to
be able to estimate the risk of decubitus (e.g. using
a recognized scale), assess and evaluate decubital
ulcers (decubitus category according to EPUAP) and
be able to perform position changes professionally
with the patient in a seated position.
• Take note of the permitted maximum weight of the
user. This information can be found in the technical
data in these instructions for use as well as on the
identification plate.
• Protect the D-Q-SiT seat cushion from pointed or
sharp-edged objects and surfaces. There is a risk of
damage!
• Before each use of the D-Q-SiT seat cushion, ensure
that it is in proper and defect-free condition.
• Protect the product from direct sunlight. Product parts
can become hot and cause skin injuries if touched.
