Assembly instructions for in-ground luminaires
Please note that external influences are of central importance for installation of in-
ground luminaires. A long and trouble free operation of in-ground luminaires depends
on a careful installation and regular maintenance. Please always read the detailed
installation manual of each in-ground luminaire.
The provided mounting hole has to be designed so that on one hand a mixture of
sand and gravel or pebbles guarantee an optimal drainage and on the other hand the
wall (concrete or suitable cement pipe or PVC pipe) is so concreted that the luminaire
can be installed stably and that no drainage water could ingress into the steel case.
The drainage below the luminaire must be water permeable (sand / gravel or pebbles,
not compressed) and at least 20cm deep so that no stagnant water can reach the
mounting hole or the steel case.
The in-ground luminaire must not be mounted in a sink in which water and dirt could
collect.
