3. Instrument Installation
3.1 Remove Transport Lock
After unpacking, please do not directly power on the Gentier instrument, it is fixed by transport
lock during transportation. Please remove the transport lock in accordance with the
instructions as below before running the Gentier instrument.

: there is a removable air vent cover located on the right side of the instrument shell, as
shown in figure B-3a. Please use appropriate tool to pry off and remove the removable
air vent cover, as shown in figure B-3b.

Step
: the transport lock screw is fixed upon two cooling fans, as shown in figure B-3c. Please
use screwdriver to remove the fixed transport lock screw, as shown in figure B-3d, e.

Step
: after unscrewing the transport lock screw, please well reserve it for future use. Then
install the air vent cover back to the original place on the instrument shell, as shown
in figure B-3f. At this point, the remove of transport lock is completed

: unless it is noted in this manual, please do not loosen or remove any internal and
external screws or other parts, otherwise it will break the instrument warranty and result
in instrument misalignment.
Caution
: Gentier instrument should be installed by professional engineer or under the
guidance of professional engineer.
