11. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Motor fails to start.
Saw chain does not move or
is tight.
Cut time increase and saw
dust produced.
1. Fuse blown.
2. RCD tripped.
3. Chain brake engaged.
1. Chain brake engaged.
2. Saw chain tension
excessive.
3. Insufficient saw chain
lubrication.
1. Saw chain dull.
1. Sharpen or replace saw
chain.
1. Disengage chain brake.
2. Correctly adjust saw
chain tension.
3. Fill oil tank to capacity
and regularly monitor
level.
1. Replace/reset time delay
fuse or circuit breaker.
2. Reset residual current
device (RCD).
3. Disengage chain brake.
