damaged cord or plug, or if it

malfunctions, dropped or damaged in

any way.

To reduce the risk of electrical shock,

do not submerge the equipment or

electrical cord in water or other liquid.

Do not place or store appliance where

it can fall or be pulled into water.

Connect to properly grounded mains

electrical outlets only.

Risk of electric shock. Keep all

electrical cables cord connection dry

and off the ground.

Product Use and Care

This product is for domestic use only.

Only use attachments recommended

or sold by the manufacturer.

Do not operate the equipment if it is

sitting in standing water, or if the

operator is in standing water.

Locate the equipment on fl

a

t, level,

and solid surfaces that are capable of

supporting its weight.

Do not over-stress the cable. Release

tension if it starts to build in the cable.

Excess tension may cause the cable

to twist, kink, or break.

One person must control both the

cable and the foot switch. If the

cutting tool stops rotating, the

before changing motor direction.

Use the equipment to clear drains of

recommended sizes only according to

these instructions. Other uses or

modifying the equipment for other

People with pacemakers should

consult a physician before using the

equipment. Electromagnetic fields in

close proximity to a pacemaker may

cause interference or failure.

The warnings, precautions, and

instructions discussed in this

instruction manual cannot cover all

possible conditions and situations that

may occur. It must be understood by

the operator that common sense and

caution are factors which cannot be

built into this product, but must be

supplied by the operator.

Product Use and Care

Do not wear cloth gloves or loose

clothing, or use a rag to grasp the cable

to prevent entanglement.

To help prevent cable whip, twisting and

kinking, place the equipment as close to

the drain as possible (within 0.5m) or

use a cable guide (not included).

Do not use in drains containing drain

cleaning chemicals.

Do not use in in drains obstructed by

roots.

Do not operate the equipment with the

Keep a gloved hand on the cable

whenever the equipment is running.

Keep hands away from the rotating

cable drum and distributor tube. Do not

reach into cable drum unless the

equipment is off and disconnected from

the electrical supply.

Use appropriate personal protective

equipment while handling and using the

equipment. Drains may contain

chemicals, bacteria and other

substances that may be toxic, infectious,

cause burns or other injury. Appropriate

personal protective equipment includes

ANSI-approved safety glasses and

heavy-duty LEATHER work gloves, and

may include equipment such as latex or

rubber gloves, face shields, goggles,

protective clothing, respirators and steel

cap non-slip footwear.

Wash hands and other exposed body

parts exposed to drain contents after

handling or using the equipment. Do not

eat or smoke while operating or handling

the equipment. This will help prevent

contamination with toxic or infectious

material.

Stay alert, watch what you are doing

and use common sense when operating

the Drain Cleaner. Do not use Drain

Cleaner while you are tired or under the

influence of drugs, alcohol or
