Step 5:
Install the supplied U-nuts into factory cut-outs located on underside of vehicle rocker
panel. There will be one located towards the front tires (Figure D) and one towards the
rear tires (Figure E).
Step 6:
Insert front step-sleeve into forward-front frame rail. (Figures F for 2013-2014 models &
G for 2015 and newer models) Slide inward until it is fully seated against frame rail.
Step 7:
Rear Nerf bar mount is to be aligned with factory rear mounting tab located just in front
of rear a-arm mounts on factory frame rail. (Figure H) Secure with hardware previously
removed in step 2 but do not tighten/torque until step 8 is complete.
Step 8:
Install supplied hardware to secure the center mounting tabs of Nerf bar to front and
rear u-nuts previously installed on frame in step 5. Torque to 12 ft-lbs (144 in-lbs)
Step 9:
Tighten tab extension hardware to 12 ft-lbs (144 in-lbs).
Step 10:
Go back and torque the rear mount hardware to 18 foot-pounds. Double check that the
rear and middle mounting points are all tightened to the torque specs noted above.
Step 11:
Repeat installation process (steps 2-10) for opposite side of vehicle.
Step 12:
This completes installation. Time to ride and enjoy!
ProTip: Periodically check all hardware and re-tighten if needed.
