Is the valve closed start the stabilisation with
(CONTINUE)

The actual pressure in the tested gas pipe and the elapsed
stabilisation time are displayed.
After the stabilisation time (according to volume 10 to 60 min)
the measurement starts automatically.
During the measurement the display informs about the
pressure at the beginning, the actual pressure and the
elapsed measuring time.
After the measuring time the measurement will be finished
automatically and the pressure at the beginning, the pressure
at the end and the difference are displayed.
With
(CONTINUE)
the “documentation menu” is called.
10.3 Leak rate measurement (DVGW TRGI 2008)
With the MSI EM200plus it is possible to realize a leak rate measurement for gas pipe with
23, 50 respectively 100 mbar operational pressure. Are all installed consumers disconnected
from the gas pipe by closed valves, the pressure has to be increased to 50, 55 respectively
110 mbar.
The measurement of gas pipes with an operational pressure of 100 mbar (test pressure
110 mbar) is not available in EM200plus with heating check or 4 Pa test.
Shut the gas pipe by valves. After determination of volume and increasing the pressure in
the gas pipe up to 50, 55 respectively 110 mbar the pressure of the gas pipe will be meas-
ured for 1 min after the stabilisation phase. The leaking rate will be calculated, displayed
and may be documented. If the measurement is made with ambient air, the result has to
be multiplied with 1.68 to get the leak rate for natural gas.
