TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The MMA6000 is a high quality miniature microphone amplifier and

power supply for two DPA miniature microphones.

The MMA6000 is a front-end device that provides two independent

identical channels in one rugged box. The gain settings are made indi-

vidually for each channel.

The miniature microphone amplifier can be operated either by internal 9 V

battery or, optionally, by the use of an external 12 to 30 V DC power

supply. Battery and power supply unit are not included.

A 3-colour LED indicates the power mode:

green (flashing): battery OK;

red (flashing): battery low;

orange (steady light): external power.

The inputs are fitted with MicroDot connectors. These connectors

also provide the supply voltage for the microphones. The gain setting

is obtained by a 16 position switch providing steps of 2.5 dB in the

range from 0 dB to 37.5 dB. Please notice the possibility of counter

clockwise switching from 0 dB to 37.5 dB gain.

A low cut switch-in filter (common for both channels) inserts a 12

dB/octave, 100 Hz low cut.

The output is a 3.5 mm stereo Mini-jack connector.

The attached clip makes it ease to place the MMA6000 on a belt,

strap or bag pocket.

Warnings:

If you want to summarize the two outputs in one cable, only use

DAO0137.

The specifications and tolerances listed, as well as performance and

stability of the MMA6000, are only guaranteed when using the dedi-

cated cables from DPA Microphones.
