Preventive Maintenance and Adjustment
3. On opposite end of the conveyor, adjust idler end
(Figure 29, item 1) tracking cam (Figure 29, item 2) to
adjust head plate assembly just enough to remove slack
in the belt.

4. Tighten screws (Figure 29, item 3) to 12 in-lb (1.4
Nm).
Conveyors with Nose Bar Tail
1. On tension end of the conveyor, adjust idler end (Figure
30, item 1) tracking cam (Figure 30, item 2) just
enough to remove slack in the belt.

2. Tighten screws (Figure 30, item 3) to 12 in-lb (1.4
Nm).
IMPORTANT
Over-tension can cause loss of load capacity
and premature bearing failure.
