Type 555
This chapter describes the completion of the body and the assembly of the carrier
rod.
You require: 1 filled cylinder core, 1 Follower (403445), 1 collar 555P (233617); 1
collar 555R: (200928), 1 bushing 555R (201695), 1 pressure spring (200252), 1 pin
(200551), 1 carrier rod (227690), 1 carrier plate (227603), 1 round nut (237599), 1
screw-in plate (201624), 2 countersunk screws (200927),
Note! You have already filled the core, and the assembly rod is still in the
cylinder body. Due to the cylinder shape it is not possible to assemble
the cylinder with a Assembly clam.

Ill. 38: Inserting the core
1. Apply the threaded side of the cylin-
der core to the assembly rod.
2. Push the cylinder core into the cylin-
der body thus pressing the assembly
rod out of the cylinder in rear direc-
tion.
3. Rotate the cylinder core until the
housing pins are pressed into the
provided boreholes.
Ill. 39: Fixing the carrier plate
4. Push the collar (with bushing in case
of 555R) over the cylinder body.
5. Insert the pressure spring and the
pin in the borehole of the cylinder
core.
6. Push the carrier plate and the round
nut onto the drive plate.
7. Fix the drive plate with a round nut
horizontally or vertically to the cylin-
der core, depending on the applica-
tion. In this process, the pressure
spring presses the pin into the cut-
out of the carrier plate.
