Inserting the cylinder core in the cylinder body
Caution! Before you insert the filled cylinder core into the cylinder body,
the body must be filled with the according pins and springs. Make sure to
use a soft surface in order to prevent the pins from falling out of the core.
Ill. 16: Core in body
Note!
If you mount cylinder type 555,
you must proceed on page 37: Due to
the cylinder shape, it is not possible to
assemble the cylinder with a Assembly
clam.
Note!
If you assemble cylinder type
382, you must hold the cylinder body so
that the DOM logo is above the core
borehole and can be read.
1. Carefully insert the core with the
open core side pointing downwards
into the cylinder body.

Ill. 17: Removing Assembly clam and ro-
tating core
2. Secure the core against falling out
and remove the Assembly clam.
3. Rotate the cylinder core until the
pins fall into the provided boreholes.
Caution! If you do not use a
wrench, you must rotate the
cylinder core counter clockwise
by 190°. Otherwise you risk
that the AF core pins jam in the
profile boreholes which would
result in a defective locking
cylinder.
Caution! The cylinder core is not yet fixed by the security rings. If you
insert the key, the core can be removed from the body and the pins will
fall out. In this case, you must completely refill core and body.
