Insert Batteries
Wrong polarity of batteries can damage the two way radio.
The WT77/WT8 can operate with AAA size Alkaline- and rechargeable
batteries (NiMH or NiCd). Rotate the belt clip anti clockwise and open the
battery door. Insert the batteries under consideration of the polarity and
close the battery door.
Don’t try to charge Alkaline batteries, they can explode and
damage the two way radio.
The charging set available as accessory, part no. 60018 can
only charge NiMH rechargeable batteries properly.
Recharge batteries with the desk charger
(as accessory available)
The desk charger has 1 red LED and 2 green LEDs. The red
LED shows the ready status and the green LED shows the
status of the charging process.
1. Plug the power supply into the charger pocket. Plug the other end of
the power supply into the 230 V AC outlet. The red LED shows the
ready status.
2. Place the radio in the pocket.
3. A green LED indicates that the radio is inserted in the charger pocket.
4. If the charging process is completede the green LED is fl ashing.
5. Remove the radio from the stand after the charging process is com-
pleted and do not exceed the suggested charging time (max. 12-14h).
For maximum performance, batteries should be recharged only when
fully discharged.
