Additional Information
The circle is intended to explain the adjustment of magnification. The information given here
refer to a PC monitor, not to the TFT display.
For correct function of the software 2 things are to be considered:
1. You must have administrator privileges on your computer, otherwise you get error messa-
ges.
2. You must have installed PC DirectX9c on your computer. To determine whether DirectX9c
is installed, enter the Start> Run the command „dxdiag“.
The DigiMicro has two fixed focus settings. Turn the knurled screw accordingly. Near the
right keystroke you get the low magnification, in the vicinity of the left keystroke you get high
magnification.
Turn the thumbscrew to the right keystroke. Set a software
resolution to 5M.
Set the DigiMicro Mobile with the illuminated front to the cen-
tre of the drawing (left).
Wait 2 seconds until the white balance is adjusted.
Turn the thumbscrew slowly to the left.
First you see the outer circle on full screen. This is the low
magnification. It has a diameter of 6mm.
Now, if you continue turning the thumb wheel to the left, you see the inner circle full screen. This
is the high magnification. It has a diameter of 1.5 mm.
Magnifications
The information to the magnification refers exclusively to the representation on a monitor and
not on prints.
The scale on the knurled screw serves for the input with the provided measuring software.
In praxis this ensures in a deviation of 2-5% max.
Magnification
20x, 200x und 500x
20x:
The minimum magnification is near the right stop of the thumbscrew(rear view direction). In direct
contact of the illuminated point of the microscope you will get a magnification of about 80-90x if
the image is shown in fullscreen on a 17” monitor.
200x:
The minimum magnification is near the left stop of the thumbscrew(rear view direction). In direct
contact of the illuminated point of the microscope you will get a magnification of about 290-300x
if the image is shown in fullscreen on a 17” monitor.
500x:
The minimum magnification is near the left stop of the thumbscrew(rear view direction) and the
