MG / IC ENCODING UNIT

2.

Perform read/write tests accordingly from the MG tests in the (Self Test of the CX-120 Maintenance Tool).
Apply developing solution to the magnetic media of the magnetic card that is used for the test, such that the
tracks on the magnetic stripe become visible to the eyes. Measure the track positions using vernier caliper and
ensure that they fall within standards.
Otherwise, please send the unit back for servicing at the plant

3.

Check the IC contact position using the following
procedure.

Adhere the contact label (model no.: KXL46372-
001) on the IC chip of the contact IC card.
Perform the test accordingly by selecting from
the IC contact tests in the (Self Test of the CX-
120 Maintenance Tool).
Upon completion of test, measure the IC contact
marks on the contact label using vernier caliper
and ensure that these fall within standards.
Otherwise, correct the values accordingly by re-
ferring to the dip switch.
