SERVICE SETTINGS
The Demultiplexer 3006A may be set to special service settings to test individual outputs. Selecting
the address will set the appropriate output to 100% level.
801:
Output 1 to 100%
802:
Output 2 to 100%
803:
Output 3 to 100%
....up to:
808:
Output 8 to 100%
TEST PROGRAMS
The Demultiplexer 3006A may be set to run internal self-test programs. This is to check the internal
function of the Demultiplexer board.
997:
all outputs are blinking synchronously
998:
all outputs are ramping up from 0% to 100%
999:
all outputs are blinking as running light
SIGNAL LOSS
At signal loss all outputs are set to 0% after the minimum hold time has expired. This leads to a well
defined state of the lighting system.
In some cases it may be preferred to set the output to full level instead, or hold the last valid DMX
setting. These options are available by setting the configuration DIP switches
CONFIGURATION
The demultiplexer 3006A may be configured by the four DIP-switches on the adress board. These
switches are optionally available or may be retrofitted, or you may change the DMX start address
board to type 3000P.
If the DIP-switches are present, these settings are available:
DIP-Switch
Function
1
do not use, Factory adjust only
2
DMX smoothing
OFF (default) direct response
ON
Calculates mean values and thus smoothes the
incoming DMX signal. Preferred setting for for data from
analog desks (data converter jitter).
3
Output level at signal loss
OFF (default) 0% (off)
ON
100% (full)
4
Signal HOLD
OFF (default) output is set according to DIP switch #3
ON
last DMX setting remains intact
