1.  Stand the tripod vertically and spread the three  

 

legs fully apart.

2.  Fit the telescope tube to the tripod bracket and  

 

secure it using the bolt and wing nut provided.

1.   Remove the plastic dust cap from 

the 30mm objective lens.

2.   Aim the telescope at the subject 

you want to see.

3.   Place your eye just behind the 

eyepiece.

4.   To focus, slowly push or pull the 

eyepiece until you see your 

subject clearly. You will need to 

hold your telescope steady, or 

everything will look like 

it is shaking and make 

it hard to focus.

Assembly

You have a ‘refractor’ telescope, which means it has 

a long tube with a lens in front and an eyepiece at the 

back. The front (objective) lens focuses light to form 

an image in the back. The eyepiece is a little 

magnifying glass with which you look at 

the image.
Since your telescope is lightweight it can 

be used as hand-held and is perfect for 

carrying in your back-pack and using 

on trips, holidays and explorations. 

It is especially good for activities 

like bird-watching!
