Solving problems
6.1 Before you return the window vacuum cleaner
Before returning the appliance to Dirt Devil customer service department, use the following table to
check whether you can solve the problem yourself.
WARNING:
Before you begin troubleshooting, switch off the window vacuum cleaner.
Never use a defective window vacuum cleaner or a defective charger.
Problem
Possible cause / solution
The window vacuum
cleaner does not
switch on
The rechargeable battery is empty.

Charger is not connected. Disconnect the adapter for the charger from
the charging socket at the rear of the window vacuum cleaner.
The window vacuum
cleaner switches on
but hardly takes on
any dirty water
The capacity of the rechargeable battery is low.

The dirty water tank is full. Empty the dirty water tank,

You may not have installed a squeegee lip or squeegee cloth.

You may not have batched the window cleaner correctly.
Check and adjust the batching.
Water is leaking

You may have neglected to close the dirty water tank cover after empty-
ing. Close it,

You may not have held the window vacuum cleaner in the correct verti-
cal position when using it or may even have used it on horizontal surfac-
es.
Hold the window vacuum cleaner vertical at all times when using it and
only use it on vertical surfaces.
