Turn the long handscrew clockwise until the knob motor’s rotor contacts the focus knob
of the Dino-Lite, then another ½ to 1 turn for appropriate traction.
If the knob motor rotor turns but the Dino-Lite focus knob doesn’t:
If the knob motor rotor does not rotate:
Make sure the focus knob is in the unlocked position if the Dino-Lite
has the scroll lock feature.
Make sure the Dino-Lite focus knob has not reached the end by
rotating the knob in the other direction.
There maybe not enough contact between the knob motor and
Dino-Lite knob; try tightening the long handscrew another ½ to 1
turn.
Make sure the Dino-Lite focus knob has not reached the end by
rotating the knob in the other direction.
There maybe not enough torque to rotate the Dino-Lite knob; try
switching the torque to 2 on the control box(See control box functions)
for more torque.
There is possibly too much pressure between the rotor and Dino-Lite
knob; try loosening the long handscrew.

The KM-01 will not change the working distance of the Dino-Lite. So please
position the Dino-Lite for intended working distance/ magnification before
using.
The MicroTouch on the control box will be activated to take pictures ONLY
when it is configured to use with the DinoCapture 2.0 software.
NOTE:
The KM-01 can be controlled by DinoCapture 2.0 software but limited to version
1.4.1 or later.
Connect the USB cable to the control box and PC.
Turn on the power to the control box.
Start the DinoCapture 2.0 software, and the Knob Motor Control Window should pop up
as shown below. It can also be found under: Settings > Knob Motor
1. Turn on the power to the control box.
2. Tap the left or right control to rotate the knob for fine adjustment.
3. Tap and hold the left or right control for incrementally faster rotation.
The knob motor can be mounted to a 10mm diameter rod often found on Dino-Lite
stands such as the MS35B or MS36B, and secure it with the short handscrew.

The knob motor can then be controlled by using a mouse. Move the mouse cursor INTO
the Knob Motor Control Window, and use the Left or Right mouse button the same way
as the Left or Right controls on the control box.
