9.3 Inner lining
9.3.1 Vermiculite
The vermiculite plates provided with the fire are located on the bottom against the rear and side walls of the
appliance. The vermiculite plates should be removed in the following situations:
• For maintenance to the fan module.
• When disassembling the air slide (see section 9.2.4).
• When adjusting the adjustable legs (see section 9.5).
• When replacing the vermiculite plates.
The bottom plates and underlying felt are removed first. The rear plates are removed last. Placing back the
vermiculite plates takes place in reverse order. (See appendix 2, fig. 6)
Caution!
The vermiculite plates should be placed back in the original positions. For instance, make sure that the rear plate
is placed with the non-flush holes visibly towards the front.
9.3.2 Flame baffle plate
At delivery, the flame baffle plate (see appendix 2, fig. 7) is located in the top of the appliance. The flame baffle
plate must be removed in a number of situations:
• when mounting and checking the flue gas discharge connection;
• when performing maintenance at the flue duct;
• when replacing the flame baffle plate.
When removing the flame baffle plate, please proceed as follows:
Ø
Lift up the left side of the flame baffle plate to above the edge and slide the flame baffle plate to the right.
Ø
Lower the left side of the flame baffle plate and slide the flame baffle plate to the left.
Ø
Lift the right side of the flame baffle plate above the edge.
Ø
Slide the flame baffle plate to the left and lower it to the bottom of the appliance.
Ø
The flame baffle plate can now be removed.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
!Caution
The stainless steel profile must be placed at the front with the screw heads pointing upwards
(see appendix 2, fig. 7).
9.3.3 Adjusting the door
The door system can be adjusted. First check the seal of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door
and the fire. After closing the door, it should not be easy to pull out the sheet of paper. Check the door all around.
Follow the steps below for sideways adjustment of the door:
Ø
Using an open-end spanner, loosen the 2 hexagon bolts at the top and bottom side of the hinging section of the
door by 1 stroke, so that they can move freely in order to set the door (see appendix 2, fig. 4).
Ø
It is now possible to adjust the door.
Ø
Tighten the bolts.
Ø
After adjustment, check that the door seal is now sealing properly, using the test with the sheet of paper
described above.
Follow the steps below for height adjustment of the door:
Ø
Disassemble the door from the appliance (see section 9.3.4).
Ø
2 rings have been placed around the top hinge pin. By removing 1 or more of these rings, the door can be
adjusted in height.
Ø
Place the door back in the appliance.
Take the actions below, if it is not possible to achieve a good sealing of the door:
Ø
Replace the insulating rope; see section 9.3.3.1.
Ø
Adjust the closing mechanism of the door; see section 9.3.3.2.
