Charging
When you purchase your product, the battery pack is not fully
charged. Charge the battery before using the product for the first
time after purchase, or when the battery level becomes low. When the
charging light in red turns off, charging is complete. Charging times
and available operation time are as follows.

Charging times (estimate)
These times are to fully recharge the battery pack while the URBANO
PROGRESSO is turned off. The charging times increase if the power
is on or the temperature is low during charging.

The URBANO PROGRESSO may become warm while charging or during
other operations, depending on the situation, but this is not abnormal.
◎
Charging while using camera may take longer.
◎
For handling the battery pack, thoroughly read "Safety Precautions" (
▶
P. 6)
for proper use.

When you operate the product with the specified charger (sold separately)
connected, the product may repeat short-time charging/discharging resulting in
short battery life.
◎
When temperature of environment or the product becomes extremely high or
low, charging may be stopped. Try to charge the battery as far as possible at
room temperature.
◎
If the charging light blinks in red, check if the battery pack is correctly
attached or connected. If the light keeps blinking, stop charging and then
contact au shop or Secure cell phone support center.
◎
Clean the power jack/charging jack of the product and the charging jack of
the specified AC adapter (sold separately) with dry cotton swabs, etc. with
care not to deform the jack every now and then. When they are dirty, the
battery may not be charged normally.
◎
Firmly close the external connection jack cover after charging to avoid
ingress of water or dust. And do not pull strongly or twist the cover.
◎
The continuous standby time and continuous talk time are the average
available time estimated combining with moving status and staying status
where the radio waves can be received correctly. They may drop to less
than half in the following cases depending on the battery charging status,
usage environment such as temperature, reception condition at the
location where the product is used, and the function settings.
• Use in a place where (out of range) appears for a long period
• Use of Wi-Fi

, mail, camera, 1Seg, location information, etc.
• When the product is set not to be in sleep mode by application
• Use of application that operates in background

If charging is stopped while the charging light is still turned on, the battery
may not be fully charged even with (Full) displayed. In that case,
available time will be short.
