Saving Calibration Values and
Passwords
Saving New Calibration Values
After entering new calibration values, you must save this data so that the values
are retained when the ASA 312 is turned off. A system password must be used to
save the values.
The following describes how to save calibration values:
1. From the ASA 312 Touch Screen:
– Press the
Settings
Function Group button
– Press
CAL
.
2. Press the
Save Calibration
command.
3. Press
OK.
A Touch Screen keypad appears.
4. Enter the system password, and then press
Enter
.

The initial system password is
CALIBRATE
. You can change the system
password as described in the Changing the Password section.
The new calibration values are set as the ASA 312’s default values.
Changing the Password
To avoid accidental or unauthorized modification of the ASA 312’s calibration
settings, a system password must be entered before any new calibrations can be
saved.
The ASA 312 ships from the factory with the default password
CALIBRATE
. For
security, you can change the default password at any time.
The following describes how to change the system password.
1. From the ASA 312 Touch Screen:
– Press the
Settings
Function Group button.
– Press
CAL
.
2. Press the
Change Password
command. A prompt for the current system
password appears.
3. Press
OK
. A Touch Screen keypad appears.
