Sending and Receiving a Fax
In order to send a fax:
1.
From the Windows 95 desktop, open MS Exchange.
2.
Select Compose (pull-down menu) from the task bar.
3.
Select New Fax.
4.
Follow the menu instructions on your screen to select dialing properities,
addressee, cover page style, or to add a file.
Refer to your Windows 95 documentation or on-line help for more information.
In order to receive faxes:
1.
From the Windows 95 desktop, open MS Exchange.
2.
Select the following sequence from pull-down menus.
a.
Tools, MS Fax Tools, Options, Modem, Properties, and then Answer
Mode.
b. Set Answer Mode to the desired number of rings. The modem will
now answer automatically after the set number of rings.
Without making this setting change, the user will have to manually
answer when the line rings.
NOTE:
In order to receive faxes automatically, MS Exchange
(like any fax program) must be kept running in the background.
