FRU Replacement
3.2.1 Keyboard Replacement
Replace the keyboard as follows:
1.
Turn power to the system unit and monitor off.
2.
Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system unit.
3.
Connect the cable from the new keyboard to the system unit.
4.
Turn the power on again.
3.2.2 Monitor Replacement
Replace the monitor as follows:
1.
Turn power to the system unit and monitor off.
2.
Unplug the power cord to the system unit from the auxilliary
outlet of the DECstation.
3.
Disconnect the monitor cable from the system unit.
4.
Connect the cable from the new monitor to the system unit.
5.
Plug the power cord from the system unit into the auxilliary
outlet of the DECstation.
6.
Turn the power on again.
3.2.3 Mouse Replacement
Replace the mouse as follows:
1.
Turn power to the system unit and monitor off.
CAUTION
All power must be off when connecting or disconnecting
the mouse or damage to the mouse and/ or main logic
board will result.
2.
Disconnect the mouse cable from the system unit.
3.
Connect the cable from the new mouse to the system unit.
4.
Turn the power on again.
