Configuring And Installing The ChannelWorks Bridge
Introduction
This chapter covers the following topics:
• Installing the LANcity
®
Management Utility (LCM) on a PC
• Setting up user accounts
• Physically installing the ChannelWorks Bridge
• Setting up the receive and transmit frequencies
• Starting up the ChannelWorks Bridge
After you have performed the procedures in this chapter, your ChannelWorks Bridge
will allow devices attached to separate Ethernet networks to communicate with each
other over your cable TV network.
This chapter does not describe how to physically install the ChannelWorks Bridge.
Refer to the ChannelWorks Network Installer’s Guide, Chapter 2 “Hardware Installa-
tion” for procedures to:
• Unpack the unit
• Identify the contents
• Verify the packing slip
• Find a location for the unit
• Physically perform any installation necessary (rack or wall-mounting)
• Verify physical attachment to the network
