NOTE!
In order to achieve consistent and repeatable results
the roasting process should always be performed at
the same place.
There should be sufficient light and a relatively constant room
temperature. Suitable locations include kitchens, for example, ideally
under an extractor hood.
NOTE!
Espresso beans should be roasted with the window
open or under an extractor hood because the natural
oils can lead to the development of smoke.
NOTE!
Please do not use the Home Roasting System in a room
with a smoke detector.
Switch on the machine
Insert the plug in the power socket and switch on. Then switch on the
Home Roasting System by moving the On/Off switch to On (marked 1).
Roasting
After loading the drum, use the + and – buttons on the control panel to
define the level of roasting required. The roasting level selected is
indicated by the LEDs on the control panel.
The Home Roasting System offers a choice of 7 roasting programmes
(see table on page 26) enabling favourite coffee beans to be roasted
according to individual taste.
The roasting is started by pressing the "Start" button. The drum rotates
and hot air is blown onto the coffee beans.
The length of the roasting process depends on the moisture level in the
coffee beans, so to achieve a consistent result this moisture must first be
removed. This will normally take about 7- 8 minutes.
