6.4.2.2.2
Output conductivity for version 2
INTERPRETATION OF THE VALUE OF THE PURIFIED WATER CONDUCTIVITY
Conductivity<1 µS/cm
Class 2 water (according to ISO 3696)
Water of very good quality, no impact on the quality of the
analysis.
1 µs/cm<Conductivity<5 µS/cm
Class 3 water (according to ISO 3696)
If the desired water class is class 2:
o
Perform a conductivity measurement "membrane
output" (see paragraph
o
Change the resin bottle (see paragraph 6.4.9)
Conductivity>5 µS/cm
Perform a conductivity measurement "membrane output"
(see paragraph 6.4.2.3)
Change the resin cartridge (see paragraph 6.4.9)
6.4.2.3
Conductivity « membrane exit »
This conductivity measurement is carried out at the outlet of the storage tank connection pipe.
6.4.2.3.1
Preparation
1.
Close the storage tank hand valve.
2.
Close the « ions exchange resins ENTRY » hand valve.
3.
Remove the plug on the outlet « TEST reverse osmosis membrane exit ».
4.
Open the « TEST reverse osmosis membrane exit » hand valve.
6.4.2.3.2
Measured
1.
Switch on the instrument.
2.
Let the water to be tested run for 15 to 30 seconds.
3.
Remove the protective cap from the conductimeter.
4.
Rinse the protective cap and the conductivity probes 2 to 3 times with the water to be
tested.
5.
Fill the protective cap to the brim with the water to be tested then immerse the
conductimeter: the value displayed corresponds to the conductivity expressed in µS / cm.
6.
Repeat the operation 2 to 3 times; the value used will be that of the last measurement.
7.
Switch off the conductimeter and replace the protective cap.
